My Techniques!

For all the artist's out there looking for new techniques or starter tips, I have a few I would like to share with you:

1. When painting a background on a large canvas, don't try and make perfect straight lines down or across the canvas(it will take to long), let your brush go wild, let the brush go in any direction, this will speed up the process of painting a background.

2. Have a clear picture in your head or a real picture that you can see what kinds of colors to use and the silhouette of the figure, but you don't always have to go towards the rules, there is also a type of painting technique that called "Abstract", this type of paintings, usually is not a picture but an interpretation, Picasso usually used this painting type!

3. Make sure that you have all the equipment to paint, such as; oil, acrylic or water color paints, flat, round and thin brushes for small details and canvases, but if this is a part time hobby or if you are only trying to start painting, then I suggest that you only buy one type of paint, some brushes and a few canvases.

4. My fourth and final tip is, put your heart and love into your paintings, a painting will not come out nice if you do not put effort into it, I usually spend hours on end painting, and the one's that I leave undone for days, they don't turn out nice, so the most important thing is to put effort, love and your heart into your paintings!!

If you have any questions or techniques you would like to share with me, I would be grateful to hear from you!!
